CLIN-Net
At the heart of Ecraid is a vast pan-European 'warm-base' network of hospitals, laboratories, and primary care sites that help us deliver state-of-the-art clinical research services to public and private partners. CLIN-Net is the name of our hospital network.
CLIN-Net spans over 1,250 clinical sites across 42 European countries. From regular hospital wards to emergency rooms to intensive care units, CLIN-Net offers access to a unique clinical research infrastructure that has enrolled over 52,000 patients in 48 studies.
Site selection
CLIN-Net provides site selection services to multinational, multicenter trials at all stages of clinical drug development. The team knows its sites and investigators in great detail, maintaining an extensive database of their capabilities: expertise, staff availability and qualifications, facilities and equipment, and past performance.
These rich quantitative and qualitative data, together with a highly standardised process, help the team match each study with the most suitable sites fast and reliably.
Part of a movement
CLIN-Net offers clinical research sites access to privately and publicly funded studies conducted within an engaged community united by a common mission.
Sites can rely on a continuous flow of studies with innovative design elements. And because of the established working relationship and standardised procedures, we can all spend less time handling red tape and more time on doing research.

Maintaining quality
To maintain and develop the network’s capabilities, Ecraid provides participating physicians and site staff with regular training opportunities, including free Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training. Learn more.
The CLIN-Net team also keeps the network engaged by meeting investigators, site staff, and the Ecraid Clinical Liaisons in person as often as possible. These site and country visits provide an opportunity to meet local contacts, learn about their challenges and opportunities, and gain deeper understanding of the local healthcare infrastructure.
Ecraid Clinical Liaisons
The Ecraid Clinical Liaisons (ECLs) play an important role in supporting CLIN-Nets work. They provide advice on a country’s feasibility for any given study, share knowledge on country-specific regulations and potential hurdles, and propose suitable sites and help engage them.
The Ecraid Clinical Liaisons Council comprises key opinion leaders, stakeholders, and members of the network. It is led by Chair Prof. Oana Săndulescu (Romania) and Co-Chair Assoc. Prof. Pontus Naucler (Sweden). We are proud of and grateful for these outstanding experts' contribution to Ecraid's mission.
Below you can find a list of the current Ecraid Clinical Liaisons. Additional affiliations and specialty abbreviations are included at the bottom.
