Founded in 2022, Ecraid builds on the legacy of major EU-funded projects that demonstrated the value of collaboration between academia and industry.
For Ecraid, 2025 marked the transition towards a sustainable future without funding from ECRAID-Base. Despite facing several challenges, the organisation achieved a revenue growth of 13.4% and a small operating margin.
In the past four years, Ecraid has rapidly expanded its research network and service offering, supporting industry- and investigator-driven research on infectious diseases. Today, it provides a full breadth of infectious diseases clinical studies – both observational and interventional – in different phases, and a high quality 'warm-base' research network capable of execute trials more efficiently.
Ecraid is rooted in academia and will always put science first. In addition, to combat the threat of infectious diseases, we always strive to make a concerted effort to connect people and share knowledge.
Ecraid is financially sustainable and continues to attract growing interest from both academic and industry partners. Four years after its founding, Ecraid has established itself as a trusted name in infectious disease research. This milestone is a testament to the dedication, expertise, and collaborative spirit of our motivated, international team.
It is normal for any organisation to encounter hurdles along the way. For us 2025 was a challenging year with a few major projects that stopped unexpectedly. But we managed to address that and still closed the year with a positive financial result. I really see this as a stress test for the organisation.
